Activities
- I play the flute, and I am currently singing in 2 choral groups. I started singing with the "Littleton Chorale" in June of 2004 www.littletonchorale.org or www.littletonchorale.com I also started singing with the "Colorado Choir" in January of 2002 www.coloradochoir.com We perform over 20 concerts each year and make several CD's. It is a wonderful musical experience.
I am a member of the Colorado Historical Society, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the NRA, and the Colorado Genealogical Society. My husband and I are very active volunteers with the Colorado Division of Wildlife. We are members of the Colorado Chapter of Penn State Alumni which is one of the largest Alumni groups in states outside of Pennsylvania.
I volunteer each year with our local Channel 9 TV Health Fair. I also work for a group that gives Flu Shots every fall. I have been an Election Judge for every election since 1994.
- What
I have done, etc
- We have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel extensively. My husband made numerous out-of-state business trips before he retired. I was able to join him on several of those trips, thus seeing a good portion of our country.
Ron's work involvement also took us to Spain, Portugal, Hawaii (2 times), the Bahamas, and other places. Ron went to England, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Australia. (I stayed home on those trips.)
We have made 7 out-of-state moves since leaving Erie. Those moves took us (in this order) Pennsylvania to Oregon, Wyoming, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, and then back to Colorado. Adding our 4 moves here locally in Colorado, that makes a total of 11 moves since leaving Erie.
Now that we are both retired, we still enjoy various leisure trips. We returned to Colorado for the second time in 1967, and have been here ever since living in a suburb of Denver called Centennial (formerly a part of Littleton until we formed our own city). We absolutely love living in Colorado. Of all the states we have lived in and visited. . . we like Colorado the best.
