- Children: One 45 year old son, who is talented and funny. He has four children and a beautiful wife, and together they bring wonder into my life.
- Current Activities
- I am the training manager for an engineering firm in Pittsburgh. I train our instructors, write curriculum on subjects that once baffled me (industrial coatings, the inspection of bridges, the surface preparation of carbon steel), serve as the managing editor for our training publications, teach technical writing, and do a host of things I had no idea I could do.
- What I have done, etc
- Reverse integrated a public housing project in 1965, worked as one of the first whites on the staff of the Urban League in the sixties, taught in the Federal prison outside Washington, D.C. in the seventies, wrote a novel about my doomed second marriage (across racial lines when it was still against the law in thirteen states), started my own business (cotton clothing in Texas, called Texas By Design), managed the programs for an Episcopal Mission in Austin, Texas, for many years, worked with the homeless, the unloved, and the unwashed. Probably should have been a nun, but did not want to miss out on having sex. Did not miss out.
