I married Ray Tomczak and we moved to Washington, DC where Ray was in the Executive Protection Service usually based at the White House. We had three children, and I eventually worked for the Department of Defense, Defense Investigative Service.
After twenty-nine years of living in DC, and now single, I returned to Erie intent on going to college and obtaining a degree. I liked the academic life so much that I stayed for eight years and earned three degrees in English Literature (Bob Schenker thank you for your time and wisdom), Communication, and Art. Eight years sounds like forever, but the time flew by--although I had to be one of the oldest graduate students enrolled at New York University! I love NYC and the art world, and I would have lived there if I had been younger.
I now teach photography at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College and Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. My life has been exhausting at times but it has never been dull. I would, without question, do it all over again.
