- I have been in the real estate business for 39 years; owning Holland Realtors and Holland Metro Realtors. I am now working for Coldwell banker after selling our buildings and business to them about four years ago. I bought income property, developed subdivisions, sold timber, got into the oil business and had about 100 wells drilled. That was exciting. I have been a PIAA football official for 42 years in Pennsylvania. I have been lucky enough to work state final championships, West final and many District 10 championships. It has been a big part of my life and and is still as exciting as it was back in school. Fourteen years ago, June and I built a new home on fifty acres in Edinboro. Also, there had to be a barn and four horses. Now, when we go to camp, we take them to trail ride.
I can retire any time, but I would miss the challenge and the people and working with my son, Craig, these last 14 years. Paul Goll always told me, "If you want to be successful, surround yourself with people smarter than you." That is what I did all the time and it worked. There is more, but this is it for now. Every day is a great day and there are more to come. Hope to see you at our 50th reunion.
