- Enjoying retirement, golf, attending Penn State football games, train travel, fantasy football/baseball.

- Joined Navy after HS, served 3-1/2 yrs, aboard USS Nautilus, 1st nuclear submarine, was aboard for historic trip under North Pole in 1958. Tested video camera tubes at Westinghouse that were used in cameras that traveled to the moon. Spent 13 yrs, at Thatcher Glass, and final 17 yrs. at Corning, INC, before retirement in 2001, worked in Corning's Central Engineering group, working on fiber installations & expansions in Australia, Wales, and Wilmington, NC., also numerous instrumentation/controls projects in Corning's domestic USA, Plants.
Last Sept. traveled by train from Syracuse to Toronto, then across Canada to Vancouver,attended Nautilus alumni reunion in Bremerton, WA, before returning home by Amtrak train from Seattle across Montana to Chicago, then from Chicago to Wash, DC, up thru New York City and back to Syracuse. Have made several cross country trips by Amtrak.
